Resort Fun!

One of the many perks of living in Orlando is when people come to visit, they usually stay at one of the many fun resorts.....and then we can crash! One of my dear friends, Angela, is visiting with her daughter and her father and we went over for some fun in the pool.

I don't have many pictures of the twins because they were not still long enough for me to get one;)

I was trying to catch up on some organizational stuff in the kids rooms and I found one of Thomas' writing journals. I loved looking at the progress he made during one school year. I also thought it was funny because the content was the and the beach;)

My family has 9 (?) people. I have a baby brother. I got a sister. I love my family. I got a mom and dad. I like to go to the beach.

I am going to New York for the summer. I am going to New York because I am visiting my aunts. There is ice skating at the lake. It snows there. I am going to build a snowman and an igloo. I am so excited to go to New York. I'm going to the beach on Sunday. I am going to build a sand castle in the sand. I am going with my mom, Amy, my dad, Tony, my sister, Stella and my my baby brother, James. At the end of the day, we are going to watch the sun set.

Parfait Dishes

I have been plugging along at my organizing. I have moved upstairs to the kiddos rooms...Out with the 'too small' clothes and taking inventory for what we need for school. I have been popping into two of my favorite thrift stores. I have a couple of items I am looking for but instead I stumbled on these:

Eight pretty parfait dishes. I love, love, love them. I also scored a set of Pier 1 Christmas plates. I can't wait to use those. I really am going to take some organization 'after' shots...

To be continued...

You Make Me Smile Like The Sun

My amazing sister Megan makes the most amazing videos. She made one of the aunts last trip down to Orlando and now she made one for our recent trip up to Buffalo. Did I mention it is amazing??

You're better then the best
I'm lucky just to linger in your light
Cooler than the flip side
Of my pillow, that's right

Completely unaware
Nothing can compare to where
You send me, lets me know that it's okay
Yeah, it's okay
And the moments where my good times start to fade

You make me smile like the sun, fall out of bed
Sing like bird, dizzy in my head
Spin like a record, crazy on a Sunday night

You make me dance like a fool, forget how to breathe
Shine like gold, buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Oh, you make me smile

She also made these side by side pictures....which I love.

Even when you're gone,
Somehow you come along just like
A flower pokin' through the sidewalk crack
And just like that
You steal away the rain, and just like that

Don't know how I lived without you
'Cause every time that I get around you
I see the best of me inside your eyes
You make me smile

Thank you Aunt Meg for the AMAZING video:)

We recently went up to Buffalo to visit my family. The kiddos were sooo excited to see their aunts!!

Twinsies: Aunt Meg and Stella

Aunt "Rin" and James

James could not stay away from the piano. He loved the 'music'.

I was able to see my good friend, Tina. She invited another person we used to work with and we had a reunion;) We cooked out and chatted while the kids played in her pool.

For the 4th of July, we had a huge picnic at my Grandparents house on the Niagara River. Below is a picture of most of the cousins.

By far, the best part of the trip was just seeing my family. 'Cappy' was adored by his grandchildren and the feeling was very mutual:)

The boys with my Grandfather.

Kevin Francis, James Francis and Grandpa Francis:

Stella with her Great Grandmother Marion:

The kiddos with Great Grandma Mary. She had her pockets filled with lollipops which was a big hit:) James was calling her 'Grandma Mama'.

The weather was perfect, I felt relaxed (gasp!) and I was surrounded by family. Such a good vacation!!
