Trick or Treat??

Can you even stand it? My kids are such big kids! I look at the pictures from this year and they look so big to me!

They had so much fun trick or treating tonight.

Being in Florida, there were even some Presidential candidates out campaigning!!

Now comes the fun part...slowly tossing the candy in the garbage a little bit each night.

Happy Halloween!!

Carving Pumpkins

Tonight we carved our pumpkins. We had to hurry because we also had to go to Tony's graduation ceremony! Thomas can not stand the feel of pumpkins so Tony found this light set that you hammer into the pumpkin:

Stella had some help with hers and she wanted to make sure "Sparkles" the cat had his picture taken with her pumpkin:

This is what they looked like all lit up:

Then we were off to celebrate Tony's big night!

The twins are so proud of their Daddy!!!

Face Painting

We went out to eat on Tuesday night (because kids eat free just about anywhere!). We ended up at Roadhouse Grill. They had this room set aside for all the families with children. There was a lady making balloon animals, a match box car race track, kids kareoke and face painting. Needless to say, Thomas was enthralled with the race track. He could have raced all night! Stella sang three songs without hesitation! She sang her ABC's, Twinkle Twinkle and This is the Day. She jumped on stage and sang her heart out with such comfort...I wish I had brought the camera. I did take some pictures of the face painting because I knew it would wash right off.

Such fun for a Tuesday night.

Magic Game

Thomas had a spur of the moment chance to go to an Orlando Magic Game tonight with our friend Brad.

When they came home, Thomas said, "Mama you are going to be mad at Brad. He bought me cotton candy and ice cream and m&m's." I explained that it was a special treat and it was ok...then was promptly mad at Brad for sugaring up my child and then dropping him off.

Stella and I took the opportunity to have some 'girl time'. We both had pedicures and Stella had a manicure too. Stella chose bright green with silver sparkles and white flowers on her thumbs and toes.

What a fun Wednesday night!

The things kids say....

Last week we were out to eat with our friend Lynn. Stella announced that she had to use the potty. Lynn offered to take her but I had to ask Stella if she had to go 'pee-pee' or 'poo-poo'. It makes a big difference.

Stella puts her hands on her hips and says, "I do not have to tell you everything mama. Some things I can keep to myself."

She is 4 going on 16!!!

Thomas has been telling me that the boys play together on the playground and they do not play with the girls.

I asked why they didn't want to play with the girls.

He said his teacher told him that boys bother girls until they grow up and then fall in love with them.

Yep, that pretty much sums it up.

A Picture That is Worth a Thousand Words

This is how I found Stella last night when I went to check on her before I went to bed. I think this picture says it all. Stella is surrounded by her animals, toys, doodle pads...she had changed her pj's and looks like she literally fell asleep foot in the bed and one foot out. Stella embraces life the same way; with such vigor!!

Pumpkin Patch

Today we had a cold front come through so we thought it was a great day to pick out our pumpkins. (I do use the term 'cold front' loosely!!!) We had to get some hot chocolate too!

Thomas found the family pumpkin and tried to carry it out.

This is what we ended up with:

How time flies:

Super Packed Saturday

Wow! We had such a busy day today. We began with Papa driving over for Thomas' soccer game while I took Stella to dance.

The other team was really good today and our team did not score once. You can hear in this video that the parents were really cheering Thomas on...I think we really wanted to score at least once.

We all met at home and went over to the Baldwin Park car show. I think the boys really enjoyed themselves:-)

I think Stella had fun too. She found every single dog there and asked if she could pet the dog, what it's name was, and how old it was.

We squeezed in a quick haircut and then grabbed some lunch.

Afterwards we had a pirate birthday party! So fun!

Thomas and his friend Ian:

Phew! I am exhausted!! I hope the kids will be too.

Movie Night

Last night we had dinner with friends of ours and their daughter Sarah. We sat by the lake and let the kids run and play. It was really relaxing!!

Then we walked over to the outdoor movie night the neighborhood was hosting.

The weather was perfect and the kids went right to sleep when we got home. Yep, I think we will do it again:-)
